Boy do I hear ya', jenniky! I have so many more UFO's than I realized and I do need to finish them. I did 2 Boom swaps here on QB, this spring-summer, and plan to make several charity quilts from the blocks. So I have those to put together (just waiting on about 5-6 more blocks) and many other projects. Sounds like we need a UFO challenge thread for those of us who want and need to complete UFO's!!

We are on the road again in our motorhome. Drove from SoCal to NoCal (Lodi, just south of Sacramento) yesterday. Going to Yreka, CA, just south of Oregon border to visit DH's older sister tonight. Meeting up with our BFF's tomorrow morning to head to Bend, Oregon on Wednesday for a week of RVing! My quilting BFF and I are going to the famous outdoor "Sisters' Quilt Show" on Saturday, in Sisters, Oregon. Guys will be fly fishing and she and I brought our sewing machines to do some quilting together--our own little retreat!!

Sounds like us yaya! We left home a week ago Wednesday in our RV. Traveled up to Bishop, Lake Topaz, Reno, Toppenish, WA (to visit grandson), and are now in Whidbey Island, WA, visiting our BFF. We will be here at least another week before we head down I-5, back to CA. I also have my little Brother that I like to piece on with me and have been sewing on my Pony Club blocks so I don't get too far behind. I also brought the last Mystery Train blocks along to sew into rows. So far have not gotten much done - too much fun visiting!!!

JennieK - Ya are gonna love the retreat! I'm goin' on one that same weekend in Van Alstine TX. I just signed up for one in Nov. at Grandburry TX. I just love retreats!!!

Yaya, JeanieG, and Dublb: Wow you RV-er's on the road sound like you have lots of fun. Yaya the Sister's Quilt Show sounds really exciting. Hopefully you can share some pictures with us Or are cameras not allowed at Quilt Shows?? When I went to the Quilt Museum in Paducah Ky I was really disappointed that I was not able to take any pictures inside. You all on the road be safe.

Jenniky ... yeaaaaaaaa for joining the retreat! It'll be fun for all of you to meet up. And by then, who knows, you might find some others to join in. I;ll sit patiently and wait for the Patriotic Town debut!

W4Me .. always thinking and planning ... whilst you crunch the numbers!

YaYa and JeanieG ... funny thing as I was going to ask if the two of you were travelling together! Good for you too, keeping the sewing going with the RV!

DublB ... You'll have to get an extra machine to leave at Brady! And every time I hear you talk about Brady, this comes to mind ... wouldn't know why????

Ya Ya & JeanieG - I bet ya'll are havin' great time in the RV's. What kinda vacation would it be if ya couldn't sew???? I would take my sewin' machine & set it up in the hotel rooms!! I even did that when DH had a company trip that I got ta go w/him on!
Jenniky - I'm hopin' that GardnerGal & carriem can talk ya into joinin the Pony Club while ya are at retreat. Ya'd fit right in. Don't worry about bein' behind 'cause almost all o' us are a li'le behind. Heck I'm way behind!!!

As far as that goes I'd love it if all of ya'll joined the Pony club!!!!

QuiltE - let's rope 'em all in!!!
Don't worry I've been collectin' vintage sewin' machines for a while now. I've already picked put the ones I want ta take ta Brady! I even told my DH which cabinets I want down there. I even informed him & family, that I want the dinning room for my sewin' room. My DD doesn't understand at all.
As a kid we went ta a lot o' family reunions, even before there was a lake & a long time before my grandparents bought the house. I'd go home & watch the Brady bunch & think that they lived in Brady!! I fully understand why ya think about that show!! It just goes hand & hand!

Well, Franky has made his debut. I have issued another open-ended challenge. Design a character and then build a quilted item around that character. Officially, there is no deadline but I have a deadline of October 2013 for Franky. He is supposed to be a block of the month for me but I think he will be done ahead of time.

Franky will be losing his Canadian flag bits soon so I don't think Monty will let him hang out once that happens, or will he still be Monty's friend, just hiding in the back of the pack? Only QuiltE can answer that question with certainty.

Finished up the sewing machine cover today. Took me longer to sew on the trim and binding than I had expected it to. Now to tackle my fire engine block.

W4Me I will post Mikey over on the Character Challenge so Franky doesnt get lonely. Im sure Monty has a ghoulish side... LOL Never know what QuiltE has up her sleeve.

Jenniky - that machine cover looks wonderful. Good job.

I was hoping you'd join me and Franky in the character challenge. You are right. Monty must have a dark side. Instead of me trying to make Franky patriotic, QuiltE should give Monty some scars or chains to rattle or something.

Anyone else going to join us. I think we will have a lot of fun with our new character friends.

I'm scaaaaaaaaaared says Monty!

Monty's best trait might be to lock these monsters up in the jail cell!!

I'll join you ladies, but no monster from me!!!! And again, you won't be likely to see any progress or even a start for awhile, me thinks.
