Default New contest!-- accessories contest! Enter july 1st-july 10th

Accessories Contest

Any style any technique!

Best of show - $20

Suggestions for Accessories - something you might carry or wear as an accessory

Purses / Billfolds /Checkbook covers / Key chains / Cell phone Case /Tote bags / Diaper bags / Makeup kit / Scarves you would wear(not for furniture) and if you have a suggestion just run it by me first before you make it so I can approve or not.

If you made a pieced or appliqued wearable entry such as a vest I would consider it an accessory as long as it is quilting of some sort

To keep this contest showing in the Daily Digest and in Recent Topics I need to get some interest going here. So if you are interested or have a comment post here!

I have a big bin of fabrics and findings to make totes, reusable shopping bags etc. - does the entire project need to be quilted, or can it have some unquilted areas and some quilted areas? Some of my fabrics are home dec or outdoor canvas, could be tricky to try to quilt something like that!

No it doesn't have to be quilted. That's fine.

I was looking around, and had never really read about this area on the board. I understand all the entry rules, but do those taking part send in the pictures with their instructions of all their steps, or do they actually also send in the finally finished item to be judged?
Thanks - I just wanted to know so if I ever decide to enter one.

The entry is yours to keep. You just send in a picture or pictures of what is required so they can be posted for everyone to vote on. Usually in the case of a quilt we have people send in the front of the quilt the back of the quilt and a couple of close ups. Since that isn't possible with one quilt block I posted a progress picture instead. You don't need to send directions just the pictures.
