If it sounds like I could be a good "mom" for you, let me know!
 I want to learn hand quilting, can we do that over the computer?

Looks like it to me.

I've been quilting only since last August (09), but sort of skipped the beginner quilt stage (from what others tell me), but feel I have so much to learn, while at the same time I've been 'teaching' others that are truly brand new to quilting and have never done it, or are stuck.

What I have learned or been taught is via a co-worker and here on the board.

Or am I one that is 'stuck in the middle"?
I feel like you, It's been only a little while since piecing my first quilt, I too have so much to learn.

This is a great idea, I have been quilting for just a year, but have done lots of a variety of different things but lack on finishing components, such as binding and quilting. Am not interested in hand quilting in the least... So needless to say I don't have any questions right now but would love a quilting mommy!

I think anyone who feels confident enough to answer questions and "walk" someone new through the process can fit the "veteran" category.

I am so excited about this new endeavor :D:D:D
I wonder if we can get it stickied to the top of the Main section? That way it will be seen by more, and we can get more adoptions going :D:D:D
