I've been good all month. Even went to the quilt store that selling out and only bought a ruler. I can feel my resolve wavering, however, as we approach the dates for the AQS show in Grand Rapids... Already have my hotel reservation for next week. Can't wait!

I went to the LQS today to get some FQs for the birthday swap and wouldn't you know it....they had a sale on sale fabric. I mean seriously, that's like smacking a diabetic in the face with an ice-cream cone. There was no way not to shop. No way, I tell ya.

I have been good and no buying of fabric but being good is no excuse...just have been too busy with other things. I do plan to try and be good as the months go by though and only work on things I have fabric for which means all my partially begun ufo's. Sigh! But when I look through all my stash..I really am grateful that I can sew for months on end without 'having' to buy anything.

Martina: A sale on a sale? Too cruel, womenkind can only resist so much. Right now there is a sale going on at Fabric Shack for $3.98 to 4.98 per yard that has my name all over it. Sandy: You've been good for a very long time, how many months has it been now? I'm one of the More Fabric than Life Expectancy group, but I'm sewing as fast as I can. Been good so far this month, if they would just declare a Moratorium on sales......

I haven't bought fabric since June and that was a yard of the "Iowa Shop Hop" fabric....may be in serious withdrawal pretty soon......

Sandy, any reason (or excuse) will work here. Hope you get to your UFOs soon.

Emma, if it has your name on it, then what's a girl to do, right?

Oksewglad, I understand that feeling of anticipation (sometimes for good and sometime to break the rules).

MadQuilter ...........a reminder , it's okay to have a stock pile, as winter can brutal and who knows we might get snowed in .......one must be prepared. And yes, yes, the quilt show in Grand Rapids.........I wish the venders for coming and I pledge to do my part to support you. OK I have failed ....this moratorium.........I do feel ashamed

Emma, I haven't been on the wagon as long as it sounds. I bought a kit from CT in early July. I have never made a flannel quilt so wanted to try one and it was the right price. Not sure when I will get to it, though. Knowing me though...if I do get started on something all of you darn well, that I won't have what I need and will have to go buy it. Isn't that how it works. Congrats to everyone who is hanging in there and for those of you who find good bargains...like someone else said on here..."What's a gal to do?" :-)

With climate change, I think it would be prudent to be prepared for any kind of weather. Just in case, you know...
