Emma, it is so well organized! Love all your fabric.
I bet you guys now understand how I can pull whole quilts from my stash. By the by, the pile with the batiks is the infamous CT purchase.
Emma, since you're the last to post, and the first I see on this thread. I can honestly say I'm not jealous. I don't know would ever use that much in my life time. I love to buy in small portions, not unless I'm making a special quilt. Nice organization though

Oh,mu gosh, Emma! You are one lucky lady to have all that luscious fabric right there! I am just so jealous! You have your own store right there! Amazing! Love the organization and am inspired jiust looking at it!
Dear Emma, Thanks for sharing. I am not even jealous...well,...maybe a little bit at how well you have everything organized but just happy to see what you have and think of all the wonderful things that will come from it. Again your organization amazes me. I don't think I could ever be that neat. p.s. I 'suspected' who the 'friend' was, too! :-)

OMG, Emma, I didn't realize you live in a quilt store. U lucky girl!!!! I am not jealous either - only happy for you that you have such a lovely selection.
I - on the other hand, went to Pismo Beach for the quilting retreat and helped improve the economics of the region by visiting eateries and the LQS. lol - no, not as bad as anticipated. Only got some batiks to supplement the batch I have. Next year might be a different story as we are meeting during the shop hop. gulp - already saving my $$. |
I resisted temptation. I have a friend who comes & quilts once a month. Our visit normally ends by browsing online fabric stores, often sites that offer free shipping for a purchase of X dollars. Being the good friend that I am, I often add to her selection to bring the total up to qualify for free shipping. Yesterday we looked, we discussed, but didn't buy anything! Yay!
Princess: It's clear you just went to the wrong sites.
Paper Princess, you get another star for your halo. :o I won't go into my transgressions, but they did help out our gulid by buying at the quilt show. And it wasn't fabric as such, but tea towels. Yeah, I know they're fabric, but hey, they're already cut and hemmed! So it's not RAW fabric, yes? I do have to stop and use what I have. This wee house is not big enough for more!!

In the last 6 weeks, 2 new quilt shops opened up in my area. One is 6 miles south, one is 3 miles north. I visited the one to the south today and purchased a yard of fabric, just to welcome her & perform my civic duty to support local merchants. I'll hit the one to the north next week!
