WMUTeach: You are making great progress on your quilt top.

happylab: Here is a hand up. At least you have projects in mind for your new fabric.

Rff1010: Pretty jelly roll race.

oksewglad: Great finish for your sister.

I finally added borders to a project from last year. I am glad to have kept it off the UFO list. I’m having a hard time letting this one go because I really like it but I also have a feeling there is a special ‘someone’ out there that will love it. The majority of fabric was donated to me so that’s why it will probably go to my church quilting group to finish and donate. It is 70 1/2” by 80 1/2”.

Hmmm. Sideways picture. I will need to problem solve before posting the next time.

I can see why you are in love with this one, Connie- it’s gorgeous!

I bought 3 yards of fabric on Saturday for a new project- not really a fall since it’s for a project. But I could have waited a week or so since I’m still working on my fourth Feb. UFO. At the beginning of the year I set a goal of not starting any new projects until I finished some of my UFOs. The one I’m working on now will be number 6 for the year. So I am now down to a total of 23 UFOs (from a high of 29)- that I know of...:D. I haven’t kept track of fabric out, but it’s a fair amount judging by how much I had to buy to restock my drawers with lights and blenders. I’m also itching to start working on an improvisational scrappy to use up some of the orphan blocks and cool scraps I’ve discovered during my fabric reorganization. So many ideas, so little time:sew::sew::sew:

I was able to piece the blender that I miscut - what are a few more seams in a quilt? - and had just enough of the black and white, so I was able to stay out of the store.
I wish I sewed as quickly as some of you. So many ideas, so much fabric, but so little time.

Well, I fell of the wagon bigtime over the weekend. My cyberfriend called me Saturday to talk about an upcoming quilt project she has planned and we started talking about my favorite websites, and just about then i got an email about the Lancaster collection. Long story short, she also logged on and we were comparing favorites. So for great prices I bought too many FQ sets and JRs and LCs. This is what happens when I try to obstain for too long. But I have some great ideas for all of them. They will make some great spring charity quilts. Now to hopefully have adequate choices for backings in the stash.

Retiredteach....that is, indeed, an awesome row quilt. Absolutely love the bright rainbow colors. I have a row quilt pattern I need to do after seeing yours. Lol.. And, I had the same issue with sideway pictures. I figured out by cropping the top and bottom of my picture, it came straight.

Irishrose....so many ideas and not enough time is so right... Lol.. I need to quit reading my pattern books and magazines. They you can be distracting and throw me of course so quickly.

lol...oh well! Here's a hand back up. I'm sprinkling fairy dust over your studio to add an additional 10 hrs a day to roll around in your precut collection. I love FQ bundles so I understand the weakness...

Thanks, Teen. I don't usually get FQs, but my friend reminded me how I would have all of the collection and I could get a layer cake square, a couple charms, and strips. More bang for my buck. And I think I am going to pull out my odd lengths left of WOWs and cut them into LCs and strips. I like mixing them up in a quilt anyway.

Connie, beautiful row quilt!

Thanks for the compliments. It was a free die cutting BOM from Bea Lee.

Teen: Thanks for the information on how you solved the sideways pictures.

Mellow Yellow finished

Finished my lap quilt "Mellow Yellow" today based on a pattern "Emma's Stars" by Pleasant Valley Creations. The yellow/ black and yellow/ white fabrics were from a line called Mellow Yellow. Used those up and some other black and white fat quarters and the last of my Amish black. Nice to have a bin emptied. :)
