It’s been quite a while, so I thought I would stop in and say hello. Shortly after I last posted here, I purchased quite a bit of fabric. I gave myself the quilt show exemption, as the fabric was purchased for a class I was scheduled to take at the Vermont Quilt Festival. Needless to say, I was more than a little disappointed when it closed down - disappointment because of the festival not happening, but also because the fabric I purchased would no longer be used for its intended purpose (never fear, it’s now all gone, having been made into a mystery quilt designed by Modern Quilt Studio. The flimsy is done, but I can’t show it until September 1).

Instead of getting all bummed out, I decided to get moving on finishing another quilt (which I don’t have at the moment as it’s getting ready for our guild’s quilt show), as well as see what I could do with my stash. We had guests for Independence Day and, as I didn’t have any red, white and blue quilts, I thought I would make this. Not only is it all from stash, it’s actually made all from leftovers from other quilts. I got reasonably ok at Y seams by the time I finished, which was an added bonus.

Lovely effort, Woodland and all from pieces you had tucked away from other quilts. Welcome back to the moratorium and our group effort to use what is at hand. You have done well even with the disappointment of the cancellation of the class and festival. Just think of all you can do with the fabric you purchased. New ideas, new plans and a new quilt or two or three. Tee-Hee-Hee!

What a lovely quilt - amazing that you had so much coordinating fabric to make it look so carefully planned! Thanks for sharing!

nice quilt Woodland!
I thought of this thread this morning when I checked Amazon for today's kindle book deals.
STOP BUYING TOTES is on special :) If I couldn't see my fabric, I'd never get any of it used, truly.
I didn't buy it, but I can get behind the thought if not the presentation.

Do any of you have the Ortner Tapping app. In the subscription area there is a very good very peaceful decluttering session.

Here is my first finish for August. All from stash and have enough of the fabric to make another smaller quilt. I won a layer cake of all lavender prints fabric last fall and purchased some yardage this winter not knowing what I would make but wanted the coordinating fabric.(Lavender Sachet by Maywood Studios) Late this spring chose the chandelier pattern, Ta-Da a finished August 7th. This quilt will go to a cousin's daughter as a belated high school graduation gift.

well done, that chandelier pattern is so pretty.

Woodland Creature, That quilt is fantastic!!! The quilting fits it perfectly...
Can you share the name of the pattern? Or where to purchase.
