Funny how we all had ideas how this mystery would play out. I imagined a ewe , a hen/rooster, a goat, a cow, a horse, a Sun Bonnet Sue working in her garden or hanging laundry, a tractor (plain or with sunbonnet sam). It is still early, and we can always add or subtract blocks as we go along.

Sjens I love your block. very nice.

So my Farmer's Daughter is stepping out with her egg basket. I just had to give it a try and I like it. I substituted a Sun Bonnet Sue for the pieced block.

Just darling, Toverly. I'm am loving your quilt top...

That is the prettiest Sun bonnet Sue I have seen, Toverly! I love it. Okay, now I know I need to do a SBS too instead of the pieced block!
|
your sun bonnet sue is just perfect , toverly. Good choice.

Thanks y'all. It's my first SBS and boy, was it a challenge. I ended up doing the freezer paper and glue stick method. I'm with you JaneQuilter, I see all sorts of farm things. A barn, tractor, corn, horse, cow. I love the one that was posted on facebook that turned the Farmer's Daughter block into a quilt hanging on a line.

That is so sweet. I love the way it's coming along. I did the block as she posted, only using my own color choices.
