This pattern, actually, goes quickly and I would have finished fast if I could work on it more. As it was, an evening project for a couple of months worked well. You'll enjoy this pattern when you get to it.

:D :D

Before I start I need background fabric, like your birds ;) No, I can't start!! I need to finish BD and the GW's I started. BD needs 16 more blocks so that's what I'm going to finish first.

Hello! I am in love with Your latest finish Teen, and it brings me back to Jen Kingwell again. I’ve been drawn to her work before. Is there a beginner or confident beginner pattern that she does?

Hi Pamela! Welcome here!!
I think I would start with Long Time Gone. No applique or curved piecing, no mitered corners, no Y seams.....
I also had a lot of fun making Gypsy Wife though some consider that not an easy pattern.

Thank you, lovelies!!! And, hi, Pamela! Welcome to Kingwell world. I have made only 2 of her patterns so far and they were not the simplist of her patterns. I'm drawn to her applique patterns mostly. Long Time Gone is on my list and I agree with Anael that it's a good pattern to start for a new quilter. Standard type blocks...

I'm not able to unpack bigger machine to quilt HB.....Buyers are flooding to my house. Lol!! Yea! Had one today and 2 tomorrow. Who goes house hunting on the day of SuperBowl? Geesh! I instructed my agent to tell them to bring chicken wings... Lol! Anywhoooo....maybe, one of them is it!

On another note: sister has been released and is currently at home. Pain is manageable and improved exponentially when they removed all those tubes inside her. I spoke with her today and she sounds wonderful and pictures show she looks beautiful! As does my mother. There's no place like home!

Also....playing in HB scraps and making dresdens....have no idea what to do with them but, turning out pretty.

So happy that your sister is home and doing well. There is no place like home and she will recover quicker at home.
And so happy that that there are lookers and hopefully there will soon be a taker for your home. Thinking positive thoughts for you and your sister.

Yeahhhhhhh for your sister!!!!! So happy she's home again. Now to regain strength before taking the next step.

It's the bottom right hand of the quilt GTSB. The Windmill blocks went together easily. I'm trimming them now. The applique block #5 below is just pinned and glued. I'm trying out border fabrics so I have the long strip hanging next to it all to see how I like it.
Hope all are doing well. The big freeze has warmed up to 38 degrees. Wow, a heat wave.

Really coming together. Loving the colors....
