I agree, NZ, It will be beautiful! And I'm using stash too!
|
I'm all caught up.
Can I be honest? This is getting boring LOL But I think I'll be happy with the finished quilt. |
Anyone have the colors for blocks 8 and 9? For some reason I didn't get it last week.
SusieQ you are right. It's a little boring. I can't wait to see everyones colors and quilts. |

I'm enjoying the mindless, simple sewing. I'm almost caught up, just have one more block from last week, then onto this weeks.
Queen Barbie, here are the block colors for last week. |
Thanks NZ for the screenshots. I took a small break from this to get some ufos done. As soon as I am finished putting the binding on I'll get back to this one. I'd like to get the top done before the Quiltville mystery quilt starts on the 26th.

NZ- thanks for posting the pics for the op. I didn't see it until after you did.
I agree with you on mindless sewing though. I just finished a more detailed project and I can just pick this one up at will :) |
I have 11 sets completed. Is this correct?
|
Hi friends, Finishing instructions today! Very detailed, nice!

I made a GIGANTIC boo-boo~
I didn't realize the end strips were all the same and mine are all different. Ugh! So much for cohesiveness . I can't believe I made such a mistake! This isn't pressed. I just wanted to see the final look. |
Susie - I gotta say that I think your mixed sashing looks really nice. It gives a sense of movement and an effect similar to dappled light falling on the quilt. It may not be what you had in mind when you started the project, but you may find the look grows on you.

Looks wonderful, Susie! I can't wait to put mine together later this week.
|
Thanks, NZ- I really love this pattern and fabrics so I think I'll just forget that the sashings aren't all the same lol :)

Here's a picture of my top. It measures 88 x 88. Sorry the picture is a little blurry.
|
It's so pretty, QueenBarbie! I love your border idea!
|
Susie. Such a pretty top. I had to put this aside to complete some other projects. I will get back to it in a few weeks.
|
I wanted the brown for the border. I had about a 1/4 yard of each brown left. I needed contrast between the dot fabric and the tan sashing.
|
Queenbarbie- gorgeous!!! I love the border too.

Better late than becoming a UFO! Here is my top. I decided on a simple 4" border instead of the huge appliqued border.
|
NZ- I love yours!!!
Maybe it's just me but I didn't care for the appliqued border on this quilt. I love applique but I think this one is so cozy just the way it is. I chose navy for my border but haven't attached it yet. I'm in too many sewalongs haha! But they're fun! Happy New Year, everyone! |
