hey vanessa,
just exactly how do you do a crazy quilt? I have tried, but end up in a "corner",,, |
I looked for a tutorial on crazy quilts, but did not find one.
There are several ways to approach a crazy quilt. The one I have heard of most often uses a foundation to which scrap pieces are sewn, then fancy embroidery stitches are used on or around the pieces. There are some threads (pictures) which show what people have done using this method. Do a search on the board. You could ask the people who posted those threads if they would post a tutorial. Just a thought... |
Go to "createtv.com" and click on Donna Dewberry. She has a real fast way of doing it. I believe there is a tutorail on there.

I just finished a lap quilt, have a twin ready for borders, an I-spy ready for clipping, and blocks for 2 baby quilts done and haven't made a dent in my scrap boxes much less my stash. This may be a very productive challenge.

I'm in. This is my favorite way to quilt!
