Oooh there's some fab quilts being completed I see! <3
I've had a message to say that Puffins Aloft is ready to be collected from the longarmer this weekend YAY!, and I'm hoping to drop off both the Cream&Green sampler and Harvest Gatherings with her at the same time so that they can get done too - I do need to give the Harvest Gatherings top another good iron beforehand though. Happy Quilting! |
Two quilts in the washer for Project Linus!!! Such a good feeling to add two more quilts to my donation bag!

If its not too late to jump in… i am hoping to finish a small kaleidoscope wall hanging/tablerunner i made from vintage fabric i bought in an antique shop in 2006! Yeah, i know… some stuff maybe has to age a little longer in our stash! Anyway, its all pieced and ready to quilt. I doubt i will get it done in March but April for sure! A new puppy last year kinda kept me out of the sewing room, but im trying to change that!

Grabbed a bag full of dog fab and several dog face blocks. Took time to sew the blocks together and now getting ready to quilt.
Feels so good to finish up these UFOs and hand the finish project to Project Linus. |
April M, you arrived just in time for you. Welcome and work on your UFOs. We will be watching for the finish of your kaleidoscope. We all have times and seasons where our sewing get disrupted.. You're not alone. Sew on!

Awww… thank you for your encouragement!
The main fabric has been in my stash since 2006 when i bought it in an antique shop. Even though there wasnt enough to make a very big quilt i knew it would be perfect for a small kaleidoscope project. It actually is vintage fabric from the 50s to 60s. So theres never gonna be another tablerunner like this one! Of course, finding contemporary fabrics to go with it was a challenge! I used a Christmas fabric for the background and then some hand dyed fabric for the inner border and binding. I have been quilting for over 30 years, so my stash is pretty big - i found everything i needed there! YIPPEE!!! |
