Thanks for the welcome WMU!

I did manage to finish the handquilting on the half-finished border on my Halloween table runner yesterday, so starting quilting the final border today...

Pretty finish, Lena :)

Happy Quilting everyone!

Wonderful quilt finish, Lena1952.

Yea on the finish, Lena1952. A finish is a finish and off it goes to warm someone who needs just a little personal attention with a homemade hug. You all are so encouraging to each other. A common characteristic of quilters. :)

When I upgraded to WIndows 11, my printer wouldn't work, I could no longer view my photos or my quilt pattern only the photos if I had downloaded them. My PC guy had to remove that option to see only the quilt patterns, not my embroidery designs which seemed odd but what the heck. Now I have to take the quilt patterns into a program to see what they look like, such a pain.

As for photos, I just click on the photo, tell it to open with "photos", then click on "edit" or to resize, there's 3 little dots at the end of the options, click on them and it allows you to resize. Hopefully it's similar on the Apple products.

This is my January finished project. I completed the binding just in the nick of time (around 11:00 p.m. on January 31).

It was my very first project to do on the long arm. I don't know why I decided to try stitch in the ditch for my first project, as I was not ready for that on the longarm. But to me, the pattern was just screaming for that. However, it is just a table runner and people will not be able to get that close to it to scrutinize it (at least I hope that's true). Good thing is I learned a lot, and I am looking forward to my next project!

CardsByLiesl, what and good looking finish! Yea!!. One less UFO and some long arm practice too. Perfect or perhaps I should say priceless. Bet you next finish will be easier after using your LA for this one. Keep it up and we are looking forward to more finishes.

I promised a photo of my #11 and here it is. The primary blocks are each made by a different person in colors of their own choice.. I realized after stumbling through the finishing directions that I have done this setting before but with different directions. I have limited quilting time this week so I am diving in and hope to get all of the yellow/white alternate blocks done and the pieces cut for the setting triangles and corner triangles cut. Fingers crossed that it will be finished by the end of the month. I am already considering how to quilt it. Something simple for sure.

Off I go back to my machine and rotary cutter. :) Keep sending photos.........we love them, yes, we do!

Congrats for all the January finishes. No January finish here but I'm still plugging away. Hopefully a finish is coming soon.

CardbyLies, stunning finish! WMUTeach, the blocks are pretty by themselves, but that addition of the yellow squares border, makes it simply stunning!

CardsByLies!, my last quilt I decided to try stitch in the ditch and nope, it wasn't perfect most times but occasionally I actually got it in the ditch. Luckily most of my fabrics were dark enough to hide it. I think it helps keep the blocks stationary so I'm going to continue using stitch in the ditch or otherwise known as SITD. I know in time, I'll get better and so will you. I also found out if I went a bit faster instead of slower, I stitched straighter so maybe that's the key. Good job on your first quilt on the frame.

Grabbed two different bags from my UFO container but did not want to work on them. Grabbed a third and YES YES YES! It's on the design wall. 72 , 6" strip blocks. By lunch I'll be able to glue baste it and find backing. Think for this back I'll choose lots of fat quarters that I... well bundle must have been a great sale. LOL

Double win for me. UFO ready for Project Linus and odd fabric out the door. :D
