My creative productivity has gone into overdrive since January, but my posts here have been way behind. :/ The tote was finished Jan.24th. The other three quilts were completed Feb.27-Mar.3rd and have already been received by the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston,TX for their online quilt auction Oct.26th - Nov.9,2011. They will also be shown at the Houston Quilt Festival. The auction fundraiser is for Ovarian cancer research (of which I am a 6yr. survivor).

Judebug, your finished projects are all fabulous. I especially like the pattern on the purse/tote. Simple yet beautiful!

I would like to be part of this challenge. I'm going to start for April. It will take the rest of March to decide what to work on since I have so many to choose from.

I moved last fall and my mother was helping me pack. We came upon a whole pile of UFO's. She asked me what I wanted to do with them, and I told her to put them in a box and mark it as "UFO". She gave me a very quizzical look, then I had to explain what that meant. I literally stumbled across that box yesterday. When I opened it, I was astounded at all the work I had already completed. Today I am taking the quilt top to the library to borrow a table so I can sandwich it and baste and get it to the point to take it home to quilt. Wish me luck with the quilting part though. I've never machine quilted a Q-size before. Read many forums last night and watched several video clips gleaning all of the helpful information I could find. Going in with a positive attitude that if it can be done I will be successful. Probably coming out though with a few more gray hairs from the process. :-)

Um, first gray hair. Backing will have to be pieced. But at least it's 3/4 of the way pinned. I should be able to finish that part using my floor or bed. Need to keep closer track of what the finished dimensions were supposed to be. LOL,

Bravo for beautifully using those donated blocks. Congrats that you are a survivor!

My official "score" for the day is while looking for my UFO that I wanted to finish, I ran across a storage tote that was half full of brand new fat quarters and larger pieces of fabrics. Must hide them now and forget about them until this UFO is finished!
