I am looking forward to seeing all the entries!!! I am hoping to have lots more entries this month!

So is a themed approach or an item type contest better? Or some of each?

I've never entered any of the challenges before but will do so this time... I think a specific description is probably what works for me!

I think the item or theme works best for me cause the most of the thinking is already done. It still give me a bit to decide concerning the actual block, style and colors. This is my first contest and I'm really having fun and forcing myself to learn new techniques.

For me, specific items work best. Always have so many things going on I prefer having the item pinned down so I only have to concentrate on design. Personally I find it difficult to be fair in judging when you offer a purse, wall hanging and mug rug. Just my opinion.

I like the idea of giving us a particular design detail (like hearts) and leaving the project item up to us. Really made me think. I decided to step outside my comfort zone.

Back in the mid-late '90s, I made a quilt for my sister. The quilt was in a magazine with a pattern and a picture. I still have some fabric left and was thinking of doing one of the blocks as a wall hanging.
Do I post the pattern name given in the magazine? I don't remember the magazine name but I can find it if necessary.
I don't want to infringe on copyright.

When you send your pics to Patrice include the info for the pattern with your entry then Patrice can do what she thinks is best with it.
