I am new to the Mystery Quilt On Ringo Lake. Someone told me about it. So I've printed off the Introduction pages and the Unit pages. My question is, how will I know when a new step is out to print? How do I sign up to get a notification to print off the next step?

Welcome, Hallie -- My name is Hallie also and there aren't many of us. Bonnie's blog is quiltville.com and her clues come out on Friday. It may be available now -- I haven't checked yet. You can either subscribe to her blog or check in on Fridays.

Carol, I feel your frustration. There are a lot of BOW, BOM, free mysteries etc. right now and of course I have to do them all. BH gets pushed off to the wayside as I am not finished with Alletaire yet. And I've printed off a lot of BH's free stuff like Jared takes a Wife.

So I'm really behind on BH. The smaller the pieces, the more I resist. My mentor says that I'm trying to sew too fast and need to take care and slow down. And the UFO's keep piling up.

My hat is off to anyone who has kept up with the clues and has tubs of those little flapping goslings ready.

I use an inexpensive Black and Decker--the really lightweight one. When you press as many little blocks as I do, the light weight is a shoulder saver. I have a B & D classic one, too. Also inexpensive, but heavier.

Carsey, if you like the iron take all the water out and use it dry, with a spritzer water bottle when you need steam.
I have a seven dollar iron from Walmart, I'm very happy with it.

more salmon (my red) today. After I got the hang of making these units in the Grand Illusion mystery I quite like them, they give a ton of movement across a quilt.

120 lean one way another 120 lean the other.

Ah, you're right! I read it too fast... So we do need 480 corners. Ye gads.... SO glad I am only doing half size. That's a load of units.

I'm just glad we aren't making hourglasses or star points, like last year. They are my nemesis. They may still be coming, but I'm glad we have escaped them so far!
