Irishrose2, of course it is traditional to use soft pastels for girls but a quilt made by Grandma, Grammie or
Mema all mean the same thing, she loves me. You are right, you can add some little girl silliness and fun so easily with borders. And you will be clearing out some of those UFO blocks. A very wise grandma.

Conchalea, are you ok, I have been missing you on the Board? I know that I was quite for awhile and really should not ask that question, But, I've been missing your pleasant updates, hoping you are healthy and doing other things

Blessings to everyone and stay safe--cherryb

I hope everyone had a great, fun and safe holiday week. I was able to get four more flimsies done and submitted for the longarmer--one at least 2yo the others just over a year. Also, except for the black used for the sashing in the two, all was from stash! There are two diagonals and two scrappy around the worlds.

I have been lurking for the last many, many months. I like all of the quilts pictured here. You all give great inspiration.

Here are 2 UFO finishes for August. The 1st pic is a quilt my niece and I went to Missouri Star Quilt Company (on their birthday bash, 2 years ago), and bought the pattern and backing minky fabric. I was surprised how easy the minke quilted and was to bind. The second pic is a quilt I won during a drawing from an anniversary celebration of a LQS over 12 years ago. I used double backing on this quilt. My brother stated he wanted a warm and washable quilt. It’s a queen size, and weights over 16 pounds.

I plan to quilt 2-3 smaller tops this month. First I need to download the upgrade for my quilting machine. Then it’s happy quilting time.

I have a question. How many of you used your long arms to bind your quilts. Then how do you do this.

OK, here is my September finish. It was started last fall, top finished in the early spring and binding finished yesterday, September 28. Glad it is off the to do list. . It will go to Project Linus for one of their older children who need a warm hug and comfort. The pattern is from Wedding Dress Blue and one that has been used at least 4 times. A good way to eat up those little 2.5 squares.

I love the scrappy of it! I will need to try this one for sure! Great Job.
