Yeah!! I finished a UFO this morning! I only had to do the binding on it, but I now have one more thing to put on the DONE list lol. I will have to take a picture and post it after the kiddos get home from school. The quilt is for my oldest daughter so I can't wait to give it to her.

Wow, Quilter Momma, you have been very busy. Can't wait to see pictures.

That brings to my success today. I actually finished seven quilts today. I have the one side of binding on them, working on the second side. I will post photos when the binding is complete. One of them was a simple nine patch and I just love how it came out. I quilted circle wreaths in the off set square. Now doing the binding. Uggggggh. I have an old one that I inherited that is on the longarm now. It will take a good 10 hours if not longer to finish. It has many errors in the construction so my work is cut out for me. That will be next weekend. I have to get a class project completed this week for a class I teach next month at the LQS. I am stumped on it because I do not want to make a pattern out of the book and making up my own. Have to keep it simple so people can finish it during class. Good job on keeping on folks. Keep up the good work.

AWESOME BROOKEMARIE!!!!! Now do mine. LOL

I am going to have to put in a new quilt here. I just got my blocks from the valentine swap and they are so cool. I just have to get them in a quilt this weekend and get it done so I can hang them up at the office. Of course the binding won't get done unless I machine stitch it. Then will be finished easily. Is that ok? Please....... (whine with pleading hound dog eyes)

With the way you seem to dislike bindings, wish I lived closer - I enjoy binding and do the final round by hand. I sit in front of the TV and stitch and relax. Sounds like you keep busy with eveything else, though.

That's fantastic BrookeMarie, Can't wait to see the photo.

QuilterMomma, I too wish I live closer (only across the country). I too like to put the bindings on my quilts. (now that I've learned how to do it.) I'd trade you for LA. Quilting. Quilting my quilts is my least favorite part. Yes, my valentine blocks were put on my WIP list also. As soon as I finish quilting my lap quilt I can work on my valentines and some more swap blocks. I received such pretty blocks in the Valentines block exchange. I signed up for the wonky house blocks (which I've been wanting to do ever since I saw the wonky neighborhood blocks) and the good ol' summertime swap blocks.

Haha. I like the trade idea! I haven't done any DNA yet but plan to learn eventually. For some reason I don't think that would be a fair trade though lol. Quiltin is much harder than binding lol. I will have so sneak a pic tomorrow. For some reason she wouldn't give it back for a picture lol.

I got my first UFO of the year done.
It is a set of 5 pieces: 4 placemats and 1 table runner
I started it almost 2 years ago just to practice Free Motion Quilting and set aside because there was no fabric for binding it in my stach.
I'm very happy ... Now it is done!

Pretty. I love the colors you used. It's so pretty and sunny when you took the photo. I like the binding color you picked.

Yes, I'm sure I would need to do a lot of bindings for LA quilting. That's ok, I was only teasing. I'm sure I will like the quilting part the more I do it and get used to it. I just feel like I fight my machine still. It makes me very tense. lol, It's telling me to practice more.
