Default Another finish

I was able to finish this quilt for my 14yo daughter this afternoon. She chose all the fabrics and started the quilt at least 3 yrs ago and had no desire to finish it. I made it one of my UFOs and now it is done! This is a "6-hr Quilt" by Kay Woods...uses quilt as you go (start in the middle and build out).

Pictures taken before it was washed...doesn't look so wonky now.

I just love quilts that are named "6-hr" or "quilt in a day" and the "10 minute block" that take eons to finish! Cracks me up everytime. This coming from she who has not posted a finish since April? May? Oh geeze.

Congratulations on the finish!

Oh no...I just looked and I haven't finished anything since April! It's August already...no more swapping. Back to UFOs. I think I can. I think I can.

Oh so fabulous carriem, I am so glad for the finishes for you. Kinda love the 49er quilt, but being a Steeler, I don't know if I can turn the tide otherwise. My brother, however, loves the 49ers. Yep, we go round and round.

I have a few football quilts to get done, just on the list of UFOs, probably next month when football goes into full swing and the weather changes. Have to make one of the Denver fabric I have for the neighbor, and yes of course, will put a piece of my Steeler fabric in it just to get his goat.

Now for you ladies who have not finished anything since April, that is ok, you just need to get one done this month so you feel good about yourself again. You CAN do it for sure. I know you CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, now for the one that has kicked my rear for over 8 years just to get quilted, yep, the glue kept the layers together for 8 years and then some. I had it on the longarm for two weeks, and it is finally finished. I am sure it was all mental on quilting it, but just did it. Not perfect as I wanted, but nothing is every just perfect, so I am over it, it is done and onto the next one which is a Star BOM I finished two years ago, and yes, trouble with the whole quilting thing. I have what I want to do on it so will get it done here this week after the customer trout quilt which is wonderful, but not pieced perfectly so have to watch for those boo boo borders she has and scrunched center. yep, the challenges of doing work for others, but I love it and will look fabulous when done. Amazing how a thick batting can hide the little things that are troublesome.
