Thanks everyone for the kind comments on my Unity. It was great fun to have something to work on during these stressful times.

I’m still working on my Unity quilt. Almost done with part 4 and part 5. This is what I have done so far. I love seeing everyone’s pictures.

Very pretty, Sync!

Progress report: I have finally finished sewing my half-size round 4s, and have more than half of them pressed and trimmed. I ended up with very scant seam allowances beyond the points, so I hope I can save most of those points. I have my round 5 geese sewn, and also some additional geese I'm planning to use in place of the round 8 stars. I've just started sewing together the HSTs for the round 7 units. I haven't kept up with sewing each round on, so no photo to post at this point, but soon, I hope.

I've been working on my row 7 spinning pinwheels and finally put a couple up on the wall yesterday -- they look awful. I had trouble seeing the design with the pinwheel done in red and neutral, so I decided to do the pinwheel part of the unit in brown (my red) and orange, which I've been using in the quilt as a brighter shade of my brown (my main fabric is brown with a subtle orange design). I'm now questioning my decision to bring orange into the quilt at all. I'm going to finish constructing these, but may decide to leave them off when putting things together.

Oh bummer! Maybe you will like them better when you are finished.

Still working on my pinwheel star units. I attached the 2 sides and only need 8 more blocks to be able to attach the top and bottom.

It's looking wonderful, Sync!

I'm hoping to finish my round 7s today; all units will then be sewn, and I can get back to sewing rows to the center.
