The Free Sewing Machine Company from 1898 until 1958 in the Chicago and Rockford, Illinois Factories.

Free bought New Home in 1927, but kept New Home a subsidiary company of Free Sewing Machine Co. until Janome Sewing Machine Company of Japan purchased New Home from Free in 1960.

So to answer your question Free made the Free.
