Doesn't the jello have to be activated by using hot water or wet heat some way?
I so rarely use packaged goods I can't remember if the jello will set or not without being in hot water.

I tried this last nite just added jello dry and it did not set up even overnite so I am tring to save it by adding more jello mixed with a little of boiling water hope it sets up. Looked at a recipe for this at cooks.com and it said to mix the jello with boiling water and add the strawberries frozen to the jello.

I have not made this but the instructions seem on the money. I make the watergate salad and you just use a can of crushed pineapple in the jello mix and then add the cool whip and marshmallows and it sets just fine. This calls for the same plus the frozen strawberries and then bake it to form the crust.

:)
