Sounds easy enough. My question....if only using ingredients mentioned, what is the dark sprinkly stuff on top and what is the orangy material peeking between slices...just curious.......

I forgot about this recipe, use to make it a few years ago, even bought a ceramic bean pot from Pampered Chef for it. Loved the gravy it made. May have to make it again, thank you for the reminder.

That sounds and look yummy. I just cubed up 2 pork loin roasts this morning. Browned meat, added sliced onion, garlic and half jalapeno pepper (seeded) . Threw it all in crock pot. Poured a large can of green chili enchilada sauce over and stirred. On HIGH for 3-4 hours then low for 6 hours or longer. My own version of Chile Verde..... Don forget that REYNOLDS makes liners for your crockpot. just empty left overs in a container and throw the bag. No more messy baked on clean up. They are found in the plastic bag/foil aisle at market....
