    2 2/3 cups of sugar ,2/3 cup shortening,4eggs,1/3 cup buttermilk,1/3 cup brewed coffee,1 TAB vanilla,3 1/2 cups flour,t tsp. cinnamon,1 tsp. baking powder,2 tsp. baking soda,1 tsp. salt,6 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate,melted, 2/3 cup chopped nuts 1) In large bowl,cream sugar & shortening with mixer 2) add eggs and mix well 3) Add buttermilk,coffee & vanilla and mix well. 4)Place dry ingred. in a separate large bowl and blend with a whisk. 5) add creamed ingred. to dry ingred. and mix well. 6) blend in melted chocolate & nuts. 7) Place 1 cup batter each in 6 well greased one pint wide mouthed canning jars. wipe batter from rim. 8)Place jars on a baking sheet. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes or a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 9) Wipe rims. Place hot sterlized seals and rings on hot jars. Keep in refridgerator for prolonged storage. Makes 6 jars. crafty grammie
