I'll be taking this Friday off of work and spending all weekend doing my holiday baking. I usually give out variety boxes to co-workers, hair dresser, postman, etc. Here is my list of baking:

Chex Mix
Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Cut out sugar cookies - Grandma's Recipe
Molasses cookies
Almond-raspberry cookies
Peppermint bark
Lemon Raspberry cookies
Spritz cookies
White and Milk Chocolate snowflakes
Peanut Butter blossoms
Creme wafers
Homemade caramels
Fudge

I'm sure I am missing one or two but you get the idea!!

Nothing baked yet, I'm really behind this year due to sickness. I used to take part in a cookie exchange the Sunday after Thanksgiving, each of us would bake about 12 to 15 dozen of one cookie recipe. Idea was that we would freeze the cookies we got at the exchange and serve them to family and friends at Christmas time. Only problem I had is that the cookies never made it to Christmas as my family feasted on them as soon as I got them into the house.

I finally started baking today. We're having a party for the pool people on Monday so I need goodies to take! Today I made fudge and frosted cut out cookies. Tomorrow I'm making red velvet crinkles. Then I suppose I'll bake a few italian cookie recipes for my husband to take to work next week.

Default Sauce for Carrot pudding

direct from my cookbook ... as you can see I've made a few changes ... just like mom used to make! It was originally Tangy Butter Sauce. I don't normally put in the lemon juice.

Today is baking day. Did many pounds of different types of fudge and brittles yesterday. Today its Mexican Wedding Cookies, Jan Hagel, sugar cookie cut-outs and Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies. I've always wanted to try making fruitcake so sometime in January I'm going to give it a try!
