My family and friends love the Date Nut Balls. They are super easy to make and taste delicious. Here is the recipe...

1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 8-ounce package dates, chopped
2 1/2 cups rice krispie cereal
1 cup chopped pecans
flaked coconut or powdered sugar

1. Combine butter, sugar and dates in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil and cook stirring constantly for 3 minutes.
2. Remove from heat, stir in cereal and pecans. Let mixture cool to touch. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in coconut or powdered sugar.

Makes about 4 dozen 1 inch balls.

Just want to let everyone know, you can go to the AllRecipes website and search by ingredient. So in the search bar, search "cookie" and under ingredient search, type "chow mein noodles" and the recipes will come up. It's really handy.

thank you everyone for your ideas on making these cookies. I did go to Allrecipes and found a recipe I used. I made them and shared with neighbors and the cookies were a hit.
