I've noticed there are lots of recipies calling for Self Rising Flour. I make my own and it's every bit as good as the store bought and much, much more economical!

Self Rising Flour - Homemade:

For EACH CUP of Flour called for in the recipe, add
1/2 TBLS. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt

If your recipe calls for 4 cups of Self Rising Flour you would use 4 Cups All purpose flour plus 2 TBLS. Baking Powder and 1 tsp. Salt

Thanks Feathers! I do not have anything in mind right now, but this might help me actually try a recipe instead of not due to having to buy something I do not know I'd use again! :D

Thank you,
I use nothing but self rising flour.
I keep all purpose flour on hand just in case.
Now I can make my own, if I run out.

Thanks,
Sondra
