Default Roasted and spiced nuts

Says use air fryer but don't see why you couldn't use the oven.Line baking pan with parchment.

Must have found this recipe on a air fryer site. Love the smell when

someone is roasting nuts at the mall.

Makes: 3 cups
Temperature: 300º F
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
1 egg white, lightly beaten
¼ cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
Pinch ground cayenne pepper
1 cup pecan halves
1 cup cashews
1 cup almonds
Directions:
1. Combine the egg white with the sugar and spices in a bowl.
2. Pre-heat the air fryer to 300ºF.
3. Spray or brush the air fryer basket with vegetable oil. Toss the nuts together in the spiced egg white and transfer half of the nuts to the air fryer basket.
4. Air-fry for 25 minutes, stirring the nuts in the basket a few times during the cooking process. Taste the nuts (carefully because they will be very hot) to see if they are crunchy and nicely toasted. Air-fry for a few more minutes if necessary. Repeat with remaining nuts.
5. Serve warm or cool to room temperature and store in an airtight container for up to two weeks

A friend of mine makes spiced nuts during the holidays each year. I know she uses her oven. No clue of her recipe but I can get it if you're interested.

I made a batch of cinnamon sugar almaonds yesterday to see how they would be for Christmas gifts. They were made in the crockpot. You did have to stir every 20 minutes. They are really good but I always use a bag in the crockpot and the sugars must have gotten to hot. When I went to take it out the bag had burnt to the bottom.Had to throw some nuts away but hubby even ate some of them so they must be good! My momma always made spiced walnuts at Christmas and did them in the oven. I will definitely have to put them on my list for this year.

I like using the variety of nuts that your recipe calls for. Thanks for sharing!

I did roasted pecans or walnuts each holiday season but the family (and friends) so enjoyed them that I do them quite often. I have found it easier to do a large batch as they freeze wonderfully and are at hand when needed...delicious in salads right from the freezer.
