I've made these but use Graham Crackers. I guess you can use either and both are good.

i wonder if you could use white almond bark instead of chocolate? my hubby doesn't like chocolate so I always try to change recipes to something he will eat...??? what do ya'll think??

The white almond bark would work wonderfully. However, to make it appealing, I would add a colorful topping, your DH's favorite sweet, crumbled on top (mini M&M's, colored sprinkles, etc.) or just chopped nuts would add to all the whiteness.

I made a small batch of this today with a almond bark, (didn't have any nuts)... but my hubby tasted it and LOVED IT... i will not use quite as much butter next time so that the crackes aren't so sticky on the bottom but he thought it was deliscious... so i am excited that i have something else i can make and it only takes like 15minutes to make it... yea!!!

Your welcome!! So glad he loved it!! Instead of looking for nuts in the grocery store where they are more expensive, try picking up a big can for $1 at the dollar stores and chop them yourselves for a real economic treat! They stretch much further than the tiny bags in the grocery stores.

I can't say I enjoy everyone else's enthusiasm!! I make toffee from scratch, and truthfully, it doesn't sound any harder than this recipe. All that being said, I can remember making a "mock apple pie" as a kid that used crackers and it was actually not too bad!!
