Apple Nutmeg Cake

I made this cake last week and it was gone in a heartbeat.

Apple Nutmeg cake

1 box yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1 can of apple pie filling
3/4 tsp nutmeg
1 cup walnuts

Place pie filling and nuts in small bowl and chop fine...so that the apple pieces are very small. Add eggs and
beat until well mixed. Add the dry cake mix and nutmeg and beat well. Place in greased 9 by 13 inch cake pan and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mix and bake for about 45-55 minutes. M M Good

Writing this down now. Sounds good for fall. I guess oven temp. should be as cake mix says?

trolleystation 09-11-2012 06:50 AM

Yes, sorry I forgot the temp. 350 for metal pans and 325 for glass. Enjoy

Hi TS,
Healthy looking apple nutmeg cake recipe and thanks for sharing with others also. Will definitely try this tomorrow and will share my comments soon with you as apples are great for health and we must eat apples daily. Apples are great antioxidant and reduce the risk of cancer, parkinson, gallstones, diarrhea and constipation.
