Artisan Bread Variations

I've enjoyed making the popular No-Knead Bread recipe and it makes a beautiful artisan loaf. But it seems to be rather tasteless. Has anyone added ingredients to give it more flavor? Looking for some success stories. Thank you!

Try adding a teaspoon of salt toward the end of the mixing. A recipe I got from King Arthur Flour suggested this and it seems to work.

Taste of Home had a few delicious variations in one of their issues a while back. You might search their files. I think I tried a cranberry-orange variation, and it was wonderful.

What recipe do you follow? I looked up and there are quite a few, was just wondering as I would like to try one.

You can add all kinds of things to the dough. I have added chopped jalapenos and cheese, cranberries, seeds or

whatever comes to mind
.

I buy artisan bread from Trader Joe's, my favorite has olives and garlic in it. Check out King Arthur's website, they have lots of great recipes for bread and flour products.
