Sounds yummy. I was born in Flint and growing up we went to Frankenmuth for Christmas dinner. My German grandparents took us and all the whole family's every year. We were stationed [Army] in Germany for 9 yrs and we love the food and traditions. Making me hungry now!!!

Oh, I lived in Germany for a few yrs. and really miss the Christollen at Christmas time and those wonderful German pastries! I sent the recipe for Stollen back to the states, as I recalled I converted it from metric, now if I can find it I'll post it. It's a wonderful Christmas bread as you well know. I sent the recipe to my DM and she made it and said it was fabulous. It made 2 loaves. I think I can find her recipe quicker. It's deelish as all German foods/European foods are!

:D :D :D I found my recipe today for Rugelach, a wonderful German cookie, that I thought I had lost for good.

OMG, it is the best!! I remember seeing on TV a restaurant making it behind the scenes, how fast they made it, how popular it was, and the large containers they used to sprinkle tons of cinnamon sugar and choc. chips on top!!! It was such a hot selling item in their restaurant, they had to learn to make it super fast!! Ever since seeing the program, I've wanted to adjust my recipe!! haha. I will post it soon!!
