Does anybody have a good recipe for beer batter hot rolls? It is made with Bisquick or other baking mix & a can of beer. I found one on RecipeBazar but it has 1/4 cp sugar & they are too sweet. Almost like muffins. MIL use to make them & I don't remember them being that sweet & they browned better.

Get on Google and type in BEER BATTER ROLLS and you'll find lots to look at.

Just add a Tbs. of sugar instead of 1/4 cup and see how they turn out.

I have a beer bread recipe and all it uses is the mix and the beer, nothing else. I have never tried it for muffins, but I imagine it would be about the same.

Haven't had a chance to try with less sugar. I bet the beer & mix is all that it should be. The 1st ones I made were so sweet if I had added blueberries & some topping they would have been great breakfast muffins.
