Always buy unbleached flour. Bleached flour is just that, it's been bleached to be white and it's cheaper. Flour turns white with age but most companies don't want to hold the flour that long because it cost more to store it so will use the bleach method. The short cuts of the big food companies will (and probably have) make you sick. People keep paying for slop and it's money in the pockets of those that won't eat their own product.

After they have baked and cooled and then wrapped and then freeze.

I'm into my second bread machine, my favorite white bread recipe is "easy as be" bread machine bread from king Arthur flour. Perfect every time, I do reduce the liquid by 2 tablespoons until every thing is well mixed and add back if needed. Also, I use king Arthur bread flour because it has higher Fulton than other brands.

I have a Zojirushi bread maker that my DD gave me about 10 years ago for Christmas. I've used it a lot. The only thing I do not like about it is that the bread is hard to get out of the machine after it's baked. It is because of the paddles, they generally "stay" in the bottom of the bread & keep the bread from coming out easily. A friend of mine told me that she had that same problem & she removes the paddles just after the bread starts to rise. It's also a good time to sort of "form" your loaf so it doesn't bake lopsided. :) I just made a loaf of Cinnamon Raisin bread last week. YUM!

I totally agree. I've had several bread makers. 2 Zojirushi, love them. It does way more than make bread but does a great job at making bread too.

Buying a bread machine would be like letting a kid loose in a candy store. :D

I could seriously live on homemade bread!!!

I really like my bread machine. I'd really like it if it weren't in the basement! It is a Zo as well and the results have been amazing. Although I don't use it as much as I'd like to, I sure love the results I get when I bring that machine up those stairs. Pizza dough! Add the ingredients and walk away. The crust is amazing. I have a Kitchen Aid Mixer and use that as well. My brother who is a carpenter told me once long ago - if there is a tool that can do the job better and quicker, you better buy it! I have followed his advice!
