Cake from cakemix and WATER!!

1 box cakemix
12 oz. flavored sparkling water.

I used lemon cakemix and lemon flavored sparkling water but use whatever you like. Low calorie, low fat and DELICIOUS!!

sounds delish!

A couple of years ago when I was going to WW, the leader gave out a recipe similar to this using yellow cake mix, diet lemon/lime soda (like 7-Up or Sprite) and frozen peaches. Yum!

I wonder how your recipe would taste with chcolate cake mix and cherry flavored sparkling water?

do you just mix the two ingredients and bake? That simple? thanks.......

My family's favorite cake also came from WW. 1 chocolate cake mix, 1 can pumpkin, and 3/4 cup of water. Pour into prepared bundt pan. Bake at 30 for about 50 minutes. So moist and delicious. You'd never know it had pumpkin. It's also really great with Nutella as the frosting (just smooth it on while still warm)- but then it is definitely not a WW cake anymore.

I've tried this cake two different ways and both were delicious. White cake mix with coconut-pineapple water. I frosted it with 2 cups cool whip and lightly sprinkled coconut on top. Then I also tried chocolate cake mix with black cherry water. Mixed 1 tsp. cocoa and 1 tsp. cinnamon into 2 cups cool whip to frost. You could use sugar free cool whip. Very good.

Should the recipe read, bake at 300 instead of 30

My friend used chocolate cake and rasberry sparkling water and said it was "great"!

I thought the batter looked a little thick but just mix and bake according to the directions on the box. Perfect!

WHAT IS THE BAKING TEMP? 300 or 350?? THANKS

Kris P 11-28-2012 05:34 AM

Whoops! actually, Bake at 340.

Kris P 11-28-2012 05:37 AM

Bake at 340. The original recipe said 350, but I found that the outside dried out before the middle was done enough to cut. Test with a toothpick to be sure it's done.
