Cheese Ball

Made this for over 50 years.

Softened cream cheese - 8 oz
Real Mayo - 1/4 cup
Blend above with electric hand mixer until smooth then stir in following
Chopped or dry parsley - 2 Tblsp
Minced onion - 1 Tblsp
Dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
Hot pepper sauce - 1/4 tsp
Cooked ground ham - 2 cups ** see below
Put all in serving bowl & chill. Serve with crackers.

**Note: I use canned ham (can is about size of tuna fish can -found in store by canned meats & fish)
Empty ham in a bowl & flake it with a fork then add.

Yumm...that sounds excellent! It sounds perfect as is, however, I will say, that this would be an easy recipe to veganize, if one wanted to. Just sub out the regular cream cheese for Almond Cream Cheese, Real Mayo for vegan mayo, ham for any vegan bacon that you like. If vegan isn't your thing, it would make a fabulous appetizer, just the way it is. :)

I would add some finely chopped green pimento stuffed olives. Sounds great and with the canned ham it would be a great go to in a hurry. Thanks for sharing.

I am printing this out as it sounds so delicious, best get a can of ham to keep in the pantry, always have cream cheese and everything else on hand.

I have and have used this recipe for years and years, however, mine says use Spam. Definitely a keeper.

Could not find the ham in a can so diced up some Canadian bacon and also added some left over cheddar shreds. Boy this is so very good, thank you for sharing, I will be making this again.

Recipe can be played with and/or changed with great success ! I’ve left out the ham and added chopped black olives.

Just realized I could make this with a meat substitute. Two of my kids are vegetarian and vegan.
