Sounds great can someone please tell me what is Crisco Shortening?

Pam H 08-13-2011 08:49 PM

It's not vegimate! It is a white, solid form of fat or like solid vegetable oil. It is the consistency of softened butter. Boy, it's hard to explain! Can someone do better?
Maybe you could substitute butter if you don't have shortening.

Is someone's young age showing? When I was a kid, Crisco was in everyone's home.

It is available here, but maybe not in Australia.

Of course! I did not look. It was meant as a compliment. And I have even tried Vegemite.
