I have made something similar from a recipe on King Arthur flour website. Lots of "Wow!" factor, not too hard.

Your’s is so pretty! There are so many filling possibilities! And go ahead and break off that branch and start munching! 😁

Christmas Day afternoon will find me munching on my star and enjoying a cup of tea. Anticipating the yumminess!

WMUTeach, do you freeze your stars? I have cut mine apart and frozen it....fingers crossed it thaws and rewards well! With only two of here this Christmas, I knew it would get stale if I left it out. We usually have a houseful for Christmas brunch....hopefully again next year. 😁

Wow! I bake a lot of bread but had no clue about how this was shaped. Thanks for posting!

It's *gorgeous* and sounds delicious, as well! I'm getting a warm cup of coffee ready, you want some? We can share? :D

I have not frozen this bread. I would assume that it would freeze OK. I am not sure of the results if cream cheese is used but give it a try. I will be making this for a group of three this year which means there will be lots of left overs. In the past I took this to a large family gathering of 20+ and it disappeared. Will have to try freezing leftovers in pieces so I can pull out just one piece for a treat.
