Cookie recipe??
 

I am wanting to make some cookies with chow mein noodles and I can't remember any of the other ingredients.
Wanted to make these for neighbors and thought they would be quick and easy. Anyone have a good and easy recipe to share?

You can add in all sorts of other things. I used to keep the bag of noodles and the butterscotch bits as a pantry item just so I could whip out something in a hurry.

Even though I cleared out the house of most things we still have peanut butter and oatmeal and a can of cocoa powder, so I can still make the no cook chocolate oatmeal things too even if we can't eat them...

I have the same recipe as IceBlossom.....haven't made in years.

The recipe calls for small pkgs of chips. How big is a "small"? Most chips come in a 12 oz pkg but I'm wondering if that is too much.

I haven't seen them in years, but one used to be able to buy 6 oz pkgs.

When I want something quick and easy, delicious and usually a little different, I make the macaroon recipe on the back of the Bakers coconut. I use a small scoop to scoop and drop them onto parchment paper to bake, then after baking slide the parchment paper with baked cookies onto a cooling rack. I've tried the condensed milk recipe but wasn't pleased. These are great little snowball cookies for winter, too.

The small packages were 6 oz., but haven't seen in quite awhile. I buy 12 oz. or 24 oz. and then divide accordingly.

I like the haystacks but I add mini marshmallows in them also.

That recipe has been around as long as I remember. It was my dads favorite. One of my daughters still makes it now and then.

Instead of the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips, you can make these with the colored "chocolate" candy disks (Wilson's cake decorating aisle at JoAnn, Michael's. etc.). You can coordinate the colors with the holiday or party; green and red for Christmas, blue for Hanukkah, etc. I've made these for cookie swaps and they always go over well.
