Corn on the Cob

Put unshucked corn on a paper towel in the microwave - 4 minutes per cob. After taking them out, cut off about 2 " of the bottom, hold the top (silky end) and give a few shakes - no silk!

Interesting, I will have to try that as I have some corn in my fridge right now and need to cook it. Thanks.

There was a YouTube about this a few weeks ago. We do it regularly now, and it works!! But be careful, as that corn is really hot when it comes out of the microwave. Our corn has been small this year due to lack of rain...

This works really well. I love it as I am alone and now can just pop an ear of corn in the micro and in 4 min it's done. No water to boil. It stays hot a long time also.

If you hate shucking ears of corn and ending up with all the stringy silks to pick off, try this. It is absolutely unbelievable and yet so simple. I wonder what took the world so long to figure this out.

Corn on the Cob

The absolute best corn on the cob I ever was at a Mexican restuarant in Lewes, DE. They pulled back the husks and braided them. (May have been steamed in the micro first owing the braids held.) It was roasted on the grill and presented with a chipotle dressing and Mexican cheese. Cannot remember the name of the restaurant, but their food is outstanding.
