Cranberry & Cream Cheese Cracker Dip

I do not know where this recipe originated. DH and I tried it about a year ago at a friend's home. No one in the room could leave it alone. It is simple to put together.

Cranberry Dip
1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
1 cup white sugar
1 cup apricot jam
1 cupchopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) packagecream cheese

  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Combine cranberries with sugar in a 2 quart baking dish with a lid, stirring well to coat all the berries. Bake in the preheated oven, covered, for about 30 minutes, until the cranberries pop and release their liquid.
  3. Remove from oven and stir in the apricot jam and pecans. Refrigerate overnight to blend the flavors. To serve, allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature, and pour dip over the block of cream cheese on a serving dish. Serve with buttery round crackers or small pretzels.

Oh thanks! That sounds so yummy. DH has four turkeys to cook (not all at once, of course) and that sounds like a nice addition to any turkey dinner!

This sounds scrumptious! We'll be trying it this year.

Yes, Ritz will work. Also, Keebler has a flipside pretzel cracker.

I had a turkey sandwich last week and it came with cranberry cream cheese. I have already bought the cream cheese and will bring home some homemade relish. Just waiting for leftover turkey tomorrow. Oh it is so good.

This recipe was a hit when I made it last year, even with people who thought they didn't like cranberries. It has been requested it again this year for C'mas.
