Cream cheese bars
 

Does anyone have a recipe for dessert bars using a sweet cream cheese filling between top and bottom crusts made of crescent roll dough? I have googled this and got so many recipes it made me dizzy! I'd love to get a tried-and-true recipe from those of you who have made it and can give a true opinion. Thanks!

[h=1]CREAM CHEESE CRESCENT ROLLS[/h]2 tubes crescent rolls
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 (8 oz.) cream cheese
topping
1/2 c melted butter
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon

Spread out 1 tube of crescent rolls onto a greased 9x13 pan. Mix above ingredients together. Spread mixture on rolls. Add the other tube of crescent rolls. Pour melted butter over all. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degr

This recipe is also GREAT if you add a can of cherries OR a can of apple pie filling and serve it wardm

When do you add the filling ?does it go on top of the cream cheese?
