This is so easy that it's unbelievable. It also is creamy instead of having that gritty, sugary taste.

1 lb. chocolate disks or dipping chocolate
1 can sweetened condensed milk (such as Eagle Brand)
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
chopped nuts (optional)

Boil water in bottom of a double boiler. BUTTER a 9" square casserole. After water comes to a boil, remove from heat. In the top of the double boiler, melt chocolate. When chocolate is completely and smooth, add the rest of the ingredients. Pour into casserole, spread evenly and then refrigerate until firm (a couple of hours).

I make this same fudge in the microwave, only with chocolate chips. It's great.

I make mine the same way on and the stove, you just have to make sure you don't burn it. Its been my favorite fudge for many many yrs. So quick and easy. Enjoy everyone.
