A lb of boneless skinless chicken (I use 2 breasts). A large thing (16 oz?) of Fat Free Sour Cream. One can of Fat Free Cream of Mushroom soup and one package of dry Lipton Onion Soup Mix. Mix those three together, pour it over the chicken (frozen or thawed, doesn't matter) put it on low. When you're ready to eat, open it up, shred the chicken or cube it. Serve over rice or noodles. (we like rice) It's DELICIOUS and the only bad thing about the fat free stuff is that it tastes so darn good that you end up eating more which isn't actually fat free. lol

After reading the recipe, I went to the store and got some chicken breasts (on sale this week). Came home, put in the crock pot. We just finished eating it.

Absolutely delicious! I will definitely make this again.

Thanks for the recipe,
Barb

How long do you cook it for! It sounds delish!

LLWinston44 09-23-2011 08:00 PM

Oh I'm so excited those that tried it like it!! We definitely love it. Who would think so few ingredients could be so yummy!!

Oh, and as for cooking time, I actually found that crockpots vary. My first crockpot, I cooked it on high for an hour, then on low the rest of the day. I usually started it before 930 and dinner is about 5. My new crockpot, though, I cook it on low for an hour, then warm the rest of the day and low for the last hour. Lol

Really, you just want the chicken to cook.

chatonne40 09-23-2011 08:50 PM

Thanks again This is easy fast and delicious Hubby loved it too so will do this again!!

collector49 09-24-2011 05:20 AM

I cooked mine for 4 hrs. on low. But the chicken wasn't frozen.

sash 09-24-2011 06:59 AM

Just put mine on. Can't wait.

I know I have chicken in the freezer. And the other things too so I am thinking this for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for posting.

I made this yesterday (Sunday) and my husband and I both loved it. After cooking on low for 4 hours as suggested I added some sliced fresh mushrooms and cooked for another 30 minutes. They made a really good addition. Thanks for sharing this recipe, I'll be making it again.
