Deli Soup +?
I finally made it to, "big town," the other day and was able to go to Safeway. I hadn't been there for over a month and a half, due to covid. I kinda went wild there, buying all kinds of pre-fab foods and of course, ice cream. I bought a couple of prepared soups from the deli, Tomato Basil Bisque and Thai Green Curry with Chicken. Both are good on their own, but if you really want a full on meal, it's nice to add things to their soups. It's so easy and much less work than starting from scratch.
To the Tomato Basil Bisque, I added some clams and chopped onions to create a fabulous Clam Chowder. Tonight, I'm adding some shrimp and mussels to the Thai Curry and then pour it over rice. I might add some red pepper too. Does anyone else do this? What are your soup/add-on combos? |
tropit, you and my husband would get along famously. No matter what he buys he makes it "his own" by adding things. You two are very creative! :)
