You can use any pie filling for this recipe, too, instead of pineapple.

Another easy recipe is take a regular cake mix add 4 eggs and a can of pie filling.
I am going to try this angel food cake. Sounds good and yet simple to make.

To answer some questions posted here . . .

Yes, it HAS to be an angel food cake mix

The texture is very moist and spongecake-like, not your typical cake texture. It's really very, very good!

You do not follow directions on the box, you simply add 1 can of crushed pineapple (juice and all) to the mix in a bowl. Stir it together (and add anything like cherries, coconut, etc IF desired), then pour into pan and bake.
