This recipe is from the newspaper, so feel free to copy and share it.

I used to make this a lot when my son was in Little League. I could throw everything in a pot and let is simmer while we froze at early Spring practices and games. We always came home to a hot dinner that way.

This is really, really easy. They should call it Dump Soup cause you just dump it all in and let it warm up, but that would be unappetizing. LOL

2 cans (14.5 oz each) chopped stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 14oz can chicken broth
1/2 pound smoked turkey, cubed (I use regular turkey that looks like a very small ham)
1 large green bell pepper, cut into 1 inch chunks
1 7oz can corn, drained
3/4 cup salsa
1 small can sliced ripe olives, drained
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp crushed dried basil
1 clove minced garlic
1/2 cup sliced green onions, with the tops

Combine everything EXCEPT THE ONIONS in a large pot or Dutch oven. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add onions and heat through before serving. Serve with hot biscuits or fresh bread.

Optional Toppings: shredded cheddar or jack cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro.
