Edible Ink Imagery
I came across the most beautiful picture of a cocktail this morning that had an image of a majestic, Arctic Wolf, done in blue and white, floating on top of a blue, foamy drink in a coup. I started snooping around online and learned a few things about edible ink imagery. You can buy, "wafer paper," and edible inks to put into a computer to print out your own custom images, which can then be floated on drinks, placed on cake tops, etc. It's a great idea to use for weddings. Has anyone ever worked with edible inks and wafer paper before?
Here's a link that I found about it: https://www.icinginks.com/edible-pri...edible-toppers |
Here's another link that shows bartenders decorating their drinks with edible inks. One paints them by hand...amazing!

They've been something like this on cakes for quite a while. It is fun to see it on drinks. If this had been a few years ago, I would order one just to check it out.

I wish I had a picture of the wolf drink...it's gorgeous. I saw it in a print magazine, (VegNews, latest issue.) I couldn't find it on their site. I would order that in a minute and I'm not a big drinker. They would also be cute at holiday time with snowflakes, or santas on a foamy, hot cocoa.
