Extra Quick Yeast Rolls
1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast 1 tablespoon sugar 3/4 cup warm water 2 1/2 cups biscuit/baking mix ---------- Dissolve yeast and sugar in water. Stir in biscuit mix and turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 2-3 minutes. Shape into dinner rolls. Place on greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise in warm place 30 minutes. Bake at 400* for 10-15 minutes or until brown. Enjoy. |
I always make mine the old style super long, double rise way, but my DH has always sworn by some unknown "quick" method (he wouldn't dare complain about the ones made the long way mind you!). He'll be glad to see this. I'll have to get him some mix. :)

Thank you, again Sondray...I was an OK cook before I found this board and I'm getting better all the time just using all your wonderful recipes. ThANKS!

I'll have to try these. Do you have to sift the baking mix first?
