Fast, easy buttermilk biscuits

Been looking for a good, easy drop biscuit for years. These are great!!! I did use 2 tsp vinegar in milk for the buttermilk. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Thanks, I will try them. Last week end when the family was over I made biscuits with whole wheat flour. They were lovingly referred to as hockey pucks. Need a new recipe and this seems to be the one. Thanks for sharing.

I have a wonderful buttermilk biscuit recipe I've used for over 25 years and my family adores them. Similar to this recipe but I do roll or pat them in my hand. I will use this recipe as I don't like the messy part of rolling biscuits. Thanks. And I have to agree with the baker, anything with buttermilk is fabulous but I would never ever drink it !

If you bake them in cupcake pans with paper liners, they would be a bit taller for slicing open.
Like her recipe for waffles as some use just the whites, she uses the whole egg.

A vegan chef told me the secret was to add 1/4 cup whole wheat to 3/4 cup white flour to keep the bread edible. Add some caramel coloring so it looks like whole wheat bread people expect it to look like. I don't like the taste of whole wheat. When I buy bread I buy Wonder Bread. LOL I make 95% of our bread at home. I will try these biscuits they sound delicious.

I have a very similar recipe but just use regular milk. It is wonderful, flaky and taste. I toss in two/three table spoons of sugar rather than one and TA-DA! I have the best strawberry shortcake biscuits ever.

ACK....might as well put a gun to your head! If I'm going to make it homemade I make it healthful. I have a very quick recipe using vegetable oil, and I use all whole wheat. I have diabetes and Alzheimer's in my family, so I try to eat for good health. Yes, I am a food Scrooge. And I have been known to serve some delicious food to company...but not often.

To really ruin your day, I just checked the latest statistics: Nearly 3/4 of American men, and 60+% of American women are overweight or obese. I'd rather not be one of them. I'm sorry to be the bearer of such bad news. :-(
